WELCOME TO BRIDGES REENTRY SERVICES

Bridging the Gap Between Incarceration, and Successful Reintegration.

About us

Welcome to Bridges - Restoring Lives and Rebuilding Communities

Established in 2020, Bridges is a compassionate organization, dedicated to providing support, guidance and opportunities for individuals transitioning from incarceration to reintegration. We firmly believe in the power of redemption, second changes, and the restoration of self-worth. Our founders, Vicky Williams, and Courvosia Pettis, bring together over two decades of combined experience offering essential services to individuals returning from incarceration.

At Bridges, we understand the challenges faced by individuals returning home. That’s why we have developed comprehensive, Transitional Housing Programs that create a safe and supportive environment for male and female justice-involved individuals on active Parole or Probation, seeking to rebuild their lives. We are committed to making a positive impact on their journey towards successful reintegration.

Services

Changing Lives, One Participant At A Time

Housing

We offer transitional housing services for individuals experiencing homelessness who are currently on parole or probation. Our program provides a supportive and stable environment, helping individuals reintegrate into society by offering a safe space to rebuild their lives. Through personalized support, resources, and guidance, we assist participants in overcoming the challenges they face, empowering them to achieve long-term stability and success. Our goal is to create a bridge between the criminal justice system and sustainable independence, promoting positive outcomes for each individual.

Wrap Round Services Including Case Management

Each individual residing in our transitional housing is assigned a dedicated Case Manager who plays a key role in their journey toward stability. The Case Manager works closely with the Participant to assess their unique needs and develop a personalized plan for success. From securing employment and educational opportunities to connecting with necessary community resources, the Case Manager provides continuous support and guidance. They offer emotional support, practical advice, and advocacy, helping individuals navigate any challenges that arise during their transition. By fostering a trusting relationship, the Case Manager ensures that each Participant has the tools and confidence needed to move forward and achieve lasting independence.

Linkage To Benefits And Community Resources

As part of our comprehensive support, each Participant in our transitional housing program is connected to essential benefits and community resources to help them rebuild their lives. We assist Participants in navigating the process of accessing government assistance, such as healthcare, food security programs, and financial aid. Additionally, we connect them with local services, including job training, mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, and legal support, ensuring they have access to the resources necessary for long-term success. By linking Participants to these critical services, we help them address underlying issues that may contribute to their homelessness, enabling them to gain stability and work toward a brighter future.

Life Skills Training

As part of our commitment to empowering individuals, we offer life skills training to help Participants develop the tools needed for independent living. This training, held at our classroom location, covers essential areas such as financial literacy, time management, job readiness, communication, and problem-solving. Our goal is to equip each Participant with the practical skills they need to manage daily responsibilities, secure employment, and navigate the challenges of life outside of the transitional housing setting. By providing these hands-on learning opportunities, we empower Participants to build confidence, gain self-sufficiency, and create a stable foundation for their future.

Assistance With Job Placement

We provide dedicated assistance with job placement to help Participants in our transitional housing program secure meaningful employment. Our team works closely with each Participant to identify their skills, interests, and career goals, offering guidance in resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies. We connect Participants with local employers and job training programs, ensuring they have access to opportunities that align with their abilities and aspirations.
